What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that your device stores when you visit a website. They allow us to recognize you on your next visit, store settings or evaluate usage.
We also use comparable technologies — in particular entries in your browser's LocalStorage and SessionStorage. From a legal perspective these are treated the same as cookies (§ 25 TTDSG).
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Service to work. They are set without separate consent.
- sb-access-token / sb-refresh-token (Authentication) — Keeps you signed in after login. Provider: Supabase. Retention: until logout or 1 hour / 30 days depending on token type.
- NEXT_LOCALE (Language preference) — Stores your preferred language (DE/EN). Provider: us. Retention: 1 year.
- mx2.cookie-consent.v1 (Cookie consent) — Stores your decision regarding the cookie banner so it does not reappear every visit. Provider: us. Storage: LocalStorage. Retention: until you remove it.
Legal basis: § 25 (2) (2) TTDSG (strictly necessary) in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract performance).
Analytics Cookies
These cookies and identifiers are only set if you chose "Accept all" in the cookie banner.
- PostHog — Measures usage of product features, error rates and conversion paths. Provider: PostHog. Retention: up to 12 months. Transfer: see privacy policy.
- Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics 4 — Status: Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 are wired in the codebase but are not active in production. When activated, the GTM container ID, GA4 property ID, the cookie list (e.g. _ga, _gid) and the retention periods will be disclosed here.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (1) TTDSG. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future — see below.
Marketing Cookies
We currently do not set any marketing or tracking cookies (e.g. Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads conversion tracking). Should we introduce such cookies in the future, you will be asked for separate consent in the cookie banner.
No marketing cookies are currently in use. If services such as the Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag or Google Ads Conversion Tracking are added in the future, they will be disclosed here in full, including provider, purpose, retention period and any third-country transfer.
How to Manage Your Consent
On your first visit a cookie banner appears with the options "Accept all" or "Essential only". Either choice is stored in your browser.
To change your decision, you can delete the corresponding entry in your browser (LocalStorage key: mx2.cookie-consent.v1). The banner will reappear on your next visit.
In addition you can decide in your browser settings whether to store or delete cookies. Instructions for the major browsers:
Withdrawing Consent
You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future.
The easiest way: delete the LocalStorage entry "mx2.cookie-consent.v1" via your browser's developer tools or clear LocalStorage for this domain. On your next visit the banner reappears and you can choose again.
